Equitrace

How it works

Six steps, explained plainly.

The details vary by service, but the path is consistent. You always know what comes next, and you review the terms before sharing documents.

Start an Inquiry

Submit a short inquiry

Use the form to share your name, contact details, and the service that seems closest. A brief message is optional. Do not include sensitive information.

Discuss your situation

We talk through what you are hoping to understand and identify the appropriate next steps, including whether another service fits better.

Review the agreement

You review the applicable service agreement and contingency terms. There are no upfront fees, and we only get paid when you recover funds.

Provide documentation

Once the terms are reviewed, you provide requested documentation through an appropriate channel. We do not ask for it through the website form.

Proceed with review and claim

The relevant review and claim process moves forward for your service.

Receive updates and the outcome

You receive updates along the way, and eventually the outcome, whatever it turns out to be.

Recovery support and attorney work are different

For unclaimed funds and tax-sale funds, Equitrace assists with the research and the claim process. For tariff refunds, Equitrace provides initial assistance only. A team of attorneys determines qualification and handles processing. Equitrace is not a law firm.

What depends on the claim

Eligibility and outcomes depend on the specific claim and on the relevant reviewing authority. Contingency terms mean no upfront fees. They do not mean funds exist or will be recovered. We do not promise timelines or amounts.
